Achieve backlinks fast

Working with search engine optimization I spend a lot of time achieving new backlinks. If you do SEO yourself you know that this process can be a real time killer. Therefore I’m doing some research to improve and optimize this process so I can save some time. Of cause the idea is that if I can save some time I might be able to get more backlinks in less time, achieve higher rankings and more visitors.
I will get back to you with some ideas.

Disappointing lobster

Finally my brother (Jonas) and I went to eat lobster in the Hereford restaurant in Odense. Personally my expectations were very high. I’ve been there one before where I got the steak of my life. But this time I must say that I became disappointed.

Prices at Hereford are about double the price in other Danish restaurants, so you are allowed to expect the best. And this dinner just wasn’t worth the money.

So if you go to a Hereford restaurant, order one of their fantastic steaks. Don’t go for the lobster!
By the way, the reason for this dinner was that we (my brother and I), more than a year ago, decided that when our website Web Opskrifter achieved 10.000 recipients, we should go out and eat lobster. Now we have achieved more than 31.000 recipients, so it was about time that we went out for dinner.

The first Danish commercial podcast

After a couple of days of hard work I'm almost ready to launch the first Danish commercial podcast at HEPHEY Webmaster. The podcast makes it possible for Danish webmasters to listen to some of the articles about web development and online marketing at HEPHEY Webmaster.

I intend to send out a press release in the nearest future and hope to get some publicity. Of cause I will get back to tell you if I succeed.

To start with I'm making the audio files myself (I admit that the quality isn't perfect;-)

Add your blog to directories

As blogging is new to me so is adding my blog to directories to get more linkpopularity. Anyway I have started adding my blog to different directories and hopefully it will pay off.

As a consequence I will probably post several posts the comming days with links to these directories because some directories like if you link back to them.

If you know some directories where I can add my link, I would like to hear from you.

Link building tips

We have just started a new link building campaign for our travel channel at HEPHEY and it seems to be quite successfull. This is how we do:

1. First we surf the web and make list of potential sites that we would like to link to our website.

2. Then we contact these sites and offer them something in return for linking to us. Depending on the site we either offer bannerads on our site (for commerciel sites), a couple of our cool t-shirts (for personnel websites) or money. The trick is to avoid reciprocal links because these seem to have less impact. Therefore the bannerads on our site are generated through a JavaScript, so we don't loose link popularity.

3. Finally we negotiate with the interested sites and get as many quality backlinks as possible.

Searching for a partner in your country

First of all I would like to welcome you to my new blog. Lately I have experimentet with blogging and now I can finally launch my own blog at my own domain, SimonGlue.com. It has been a difficult decission, but I have choosed to write this blog in English (mostly because I would like to get listed in some American directories with higher Pagerank than most Danish websites are able to achieve). I hope you will excuse my English. If you have any questions, you are very welcome to contact me.

The second most important reason is that the purpose of this website also is to attract partners for my business (HEPHEY) in foreign countries (yours for instance). My company is running different Danish websites, and it's these websites that we would like to launch is other countries. We have gained a position as a leading company in the Danish Internet industry, and I'm sure that we are able to gain the same position in other countries.
